Health Policies, COVID-19 Protocols & Procedures

Music Together of Davis

We are thrilled to welcome you back to indoor classes this semester! Keeping our families and teachers safe and healthy is our top priority.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue with the following health policies and COVID-19 protocols. We ask that you review these guidelines prior to your first class, and of course, please reach out to Director Karen Crane with any questions or concerns: (530) 848-9188 or [email protected].

  • If anyone in your family is sick, kindly stay home until you are fully recovered and schedule make-up classes as needed; if you or your child has had a fever, you all must be fever-free for at least 24 hours (without assistance from fever-reducing medication) before returning to class. Please do not put your teacher in the uncomfortable position of needing to ask your family to leave -- thank you!
  • Masks are optional for adults and children ages 2+. However, if you or your child(ren) have allergy symptoms (which we cannot differentiate from a contageous illness), we ask that you take the precaution of either wearing a mask or scheduling a make-up. Please note: according to the CA Department of Public Health, children younger than 2 years old should not wear a mask, due to the risk of suffocation; therefore please let your teacher know if you have a child under 24 months who is exhibiting allergy symptoms (or if your child has a medical or mental health condition that prevents them from wearing a mask).
  • If you prefer not to use shared instruments/props, please feel free to bring a set from home each week; click here for ideas about collecting or making your own from supplies commonly found at home!
  • If we are unable to meet for a given class, due to your teacher's ill-health or any other reason, we will cancel class and extend the session by one week.
  • If someone in your household tests positive for COVID-19, or is exposed to someone who has tested positive, please let Director Karen Crane know right away: (530) 848-9188 or [email protected]We will follow contact tracing protocol, which includes notifying all families in the same class of the possible exposure and of any quarantine recommendations. Names will never be disclosed.

If you are unsure whether we'll be meeting on a given day, please check your email and/or text messages -- families will be notified of any cancellations at least one hour before start-time on the day of class.

Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop

For classes held at the Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop, kindly abide by their policies as follows:

Health Protocols

We realize that the Dance Workshop has a social responsibility to our members, staff, and the communities that we serve, and we are fully committed to doing whatever we can to ensure the safety of everyone.

  • While we are relaxing our Covid Policies, we reserve the right to re-implement and/or modify them, should the need arise in the future.
  • Masking is now optional (except for the Parkinson’s and 2nd Wind classes), BUT we are keeping with our ZERO TOLERANCE ILLNESS POLICY
    • Students who have any symptoms of illness (including but not limited to: cough, stuffy/runny nose, fever, etc.) should not come to the Dance Workshop until their symptoms are gone. (This also applies to other contagious situations such as head lice and conjunctivitis, etc.)
    • Anyone who comes to the Dance Workshop displaying symptoms of illness will be asked to leave until their symptoms are gone. (This includes students, parents, siblings, friends, etc.)
    • Students with allergies may attend class with a mask and a note from their Doctor.

Class & Lobby Etiquette

  • Food may not be eaten in the Dance Workshop; only water is allowed in the building (with the exception of bottles of milk, which are OK in the lobby and the studio during class). Food may be eaten outside in the courtyard, but please clean up afterwards.
  • No cameras / video cameras / cell phone recordings are allowed without the prior consent of the instructors.
  • Electronics, video games, etc. must be silenced in the lobby. Please go outside to make phone calls.
  • No one is allowed behind the desk except staff members.
  • Dogs must be on leashes.
  • The Dance Workshop is not responsible for personal belongings (i.e. anything left in the lobby during class).
  • Children in the lobby, and/or outside in the courtyard, must be closely monitored by a supervising adult. Running around or tapping/banging on the glass will not be permitted in the lobby; digging, moving rocks, or picking flowers is not permitted in the courtyard.
  • Office staff are responsible for giving information regarding, and enforcing, the policies of the Dance Workshop. We expect that students and parents comply with office staff requests.

Please respect the beautiful space in which we have the opportunity to hold our classes, and leave things in at least as good condition as you found them -- thank you!
